Its very important that a candidate has a positive experience when applying for a job. Many individuals will be applying to other companies at the same time so if they feel the process has become too cumbersome or slow they are likely to take up an alternative job offer sooner. So the speed and ease of administration will determine how positive the candidate feels about the Organisation.

In many organisations the application procedure has not been automated or Candidates apply by sending their CV by post or email.

With iCams the application procedure is completely automated, candidates can complete each step of the process very easily and at their own pace. It is also possible to make the process a simple one step action. With iCams you are able to design the process to ensure all of your candidates have a positive experience.

The application database

The process starts when a job-seeker applies for a vacancy. Within iCams the job-seeker applies by means of an application form this is presented as dynamic web pages which update the database. After the application the candidate receives a verification email of their registration & also a ‘thank you’ email. In addition the recruiter who is responsible for the specific vacancy is also notified by email of the new candidate. In addition the recruiter has immediate access vi athier home page of the candidate details.

Automated application process

iCams can be configured to your own recruitment step terms and complexity. The steps in the selection process are classified into one of three groups: "Progress", "Hold" and "Reject". The process steps at "continue" contain all steps which a candidate must pass through to be adopted. All these steps are incorporated in iCams. Additional interfaces can be added to automate the process e.g. interface to 3rd party testing or routing to a call centre. Where you may wish to end the process, you can either place the candidate on ‘hold’ or reject accordingly.

From the recruiter portal the current status of the candidates can be examined and with one simple ‘click’ be very transferred to the next step in the procedure. In addition the candidate can automatically receive a personalised email informing them of the relevant status / progress change with their application.

The candidate informed directly

Candidates can be automatically informed of each step in the recruitment process. This can include personalised emails or SMS messages. As soon as the process step is selected the email is generated, however this may be previewed and amended before being sent.

Candidates can also be notified via the candidate portal. This portal contains a status overview with all process steps which you want the candidate to view. This includes a complete history of all email messages, even though the original would have been sent to the individuals designated emailed. This means the candidate has a complete history of all statuses and communication.

Managing activity

Hiring process can sometime become quite hectic. Notifying a candidate that “we will get in touch with you in next couple of days”, means you need to follow this up or the candidate will be disappointed. In iCams it is possible to set maximum duration days against specific statuses, thi swill cause automatic ‘flag’ to be set on the recruiters portal homepage. This makes it very easy to ensure the recruiter is dealing with candidates in line with the company process & policy.

In addition iCams incorporates a simple ‘to do list’ , which can include reminders to action and contact candidate et cetera.
